Companion Program
Monday June 18, 2007:
Peggy’s Cove Tour (4hours)
Peggy's Cove has been an artists’ and explorers’ paradise for well over 150 years. This picture postcard village, on the rugged Atlantic Shoreline, stands on solid rock above the crashing surf. The coastline is famous for pirates, shipwrecks, rum running and sunsets. There will be plenty of time for exploring this unique area, and for those who wish, your kilted guide will take you on a walking tour of the moody cove and village, featuring the famous DeGarthe Sculpture - a beautiful granite carving which depicts the life and people of the area. Don’t forget to mail a postcard at the Post Office in the Lighthouse - considered by many to be the most photographed lighthouse in the world!
Then it’s lunch at the Sou’wester – you will have your choice of one of the following: Seafood Chowder Dinner, Fish & Chips, Lox & Salad, Vegetarian Pasta or Breaded Chicken Breast Fingers. Your dessert choices are Homemade Gingerbread or Apple Crisp. Coffee, Tea or Ice Tea is included.
