Shaun Loney has been Manitoba's Director of Energy Policy since 2002

working on new electricity generation (including new generation hydro and

wind), bio-fuels (ethanol and biodiesel) and energy efficiency. Manitoba

has been acknowledged by Business Week as being the top regional

jurisdiction in the world for combating climate change and by the Canadian

Energy Efficiency Alliance as the leading Canadian jurisdiction on energy

efficiency. Manitoba has also received North American attention for its

successful program to promote heat pump installations.
