Ian Hayhow

 

Natural Resources Canada

 

 

Ian Hayhow is a graduate engineer with 30 years experience in the energy sector.  Ian’s experience has been spread equally between industry (Dome Petroleum and Amoco) and government (National Energy Board and Natural Resources Canada).

 

Recently, Ian was the project manager for the implementation of a new energy/economic model to prepare long-term energy projections.  This model was used for the development of Canada’s Energy Outlook – The Reference Case, released May 2006.

 

Additionally, Ian has been instrumental in a number of other publications: Canada’s energy supply and demand to 2025 (NEB, 1999); The economic impact for Canada of the Kyoto Protocol (National Climate Change Process, 2000); and North America – The Energy Picture II (jointly with Mexico and the USA, 2006)
