Vancouver, BC - April 7, 2011 – Representatives from government and industry gathered today to discuss regional energy issues and policies at the Canadian Energy Forum in Vancouver. Hosted by the Energy Council of Canada, the Vancouver forum is one in a series of events across the country showcasing Canada’s approach to strategy and policy development in the energy sector.

Pierre Gadonneix, Chairman of the World Energy Council, has issued an official letter addressed to WEC’s Member Committee Chairs.

The Forum will take place at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel on April 7, 2011.

Toronto, ON – December 8, 2010 – Representatives of government and industry gathered today at the Canadian Energy Forum in Toronto were told that the province of Ontario is being positioned as a “clean energy powerhouse” which will provide thousands of jobs.

According to the World Energy Council’s annual Issues Survey of energy ministers, energy company CEOs and energy policymakers, the climate framework ranks as the top critical uncertainty.

The Forum will take place at the Marriott Eaton Centre Hotel on December 8, 2010.
